How do you set your grief and anguish aside? How do you pick up the shattered pieces, put those pieces back together again, and try to move on?
Wrynn tries to find the joy in life every single day through her daughters, family, and friends. Her twin brother Liam has dedicated himself to helping Wrynn put her life back together after losing his own love. On the other hand, her mother-in-law lives to torment her at every turn. Wrynn can't even find a chance to breathe, much less a desire to somehow search for her tomorrow.
Excerpt:
“Wrynn.” His whisper broke the silence. That one anguished word brought me to my feet and forward, into his arms. I had no doubt this was where I should be–sheltered, enveloped, protected. Loved.
I felt the flex of his muscles when his arms squeezed me tighter. My face burrowed into his chest as I tried to get closer to the heat pouring from his body. His mouth dipped to my ear as he whispered his love for me, and his promise of forever. He apologized for leaving me when he knew I needed him and told me that he would always be there for me.
I turned my head and sought reassurance that he spoke the truth. His lips met mine. Time stopped, and a fire that I had never before felt burned through me. This was no soft, gentle kiss. This was a kiss filled with hunger and desperation. The need flowed between us as I opened my lips beneath his. Our tongues danced together and as Tripp drew my body closer to his, a deep longing-filled moan drew up from the depths of my being. The world around us disappeared as I cleaved urgently to the man who had claimed my very soul.
This was the kiss that I had always longed for. The kiss that marked me as his. The kiss that spoke to me
My 5 Star Review:
"You're my everything. You're the reason I breathe, the reason I
live. I can't imagine my life without you. I've loved you forever, and that
love will never die."
Honestly this deserves more than 5 stars and I hope that one
day we get the option to rate more than 5 stars for authors.
How can I explain this story without giving away a whole
lot, because honestly the reader needs to feel the full effect of this story
without and spoiler’s in my opinion. So with that said let’s see what I can do
without spoiling this for anyone.

This story is going to pull you in from the first few pages.
You will experience some true emotions with this story. Those emotions being,
loss, heartache, love. You will experience the true meaning of family and of
friendship. Definitely make sure that you have some tissues handy because you
surely are going to need them.
Kathryn’s debut novel is breathtaking. I can tell you that
it left a mark in my heart that will be there for the rest of my life.
Wrynn and Liam are twins who become friends with Tripp in
grade school. The three of them become best friends, always spending time
together whenever they can. Tripp’s mother is definitely not the best mother in
the world. She is a snot nose upper class B****, and anytime Tripp can he is at
Wrynn and Liam’s house with them. Their parents are the greatest and bring
Tripp in and except them into their family like one of their own.
As they all grow up friendship between Wrynn and Tripp turns
into love. One amazing true love story develops. The love between Tripp and Wrynn is truly a one of a kind. I love how Kathryn
showed us just how much they meant to each other with the past playing out in
the story.
Wrynn having to deal with the outcome of a tragedy, and keep
herself together for their children was truly amazing. Honestly I don’t know
how she did it.
"Tripp was my
best friend, my lover, my confidant, my soul mate. He was the salt to my
pepper. He was the peanut butter to my chocolate, and he alone brought me love
and hope and joy. Together we created our three beautiful girls and together we
looked at the world as ours to conquer. In short, he was my other half, the part
that completed me."
That’s all your going to get from me. I truly don’t want to
ruin it for anyone, I can not even go so far as to tell you if there is an HEA
or not. You truly need to experience this book from beginning to end without
the spoilers in between to get the full effect of what you are reading. I will
say that there is a Big twist that comes into play towards the end of the book.
Kathryn thank you for sharing your story with us. Thank you
for showing us what military people go through everyday. I know from experience that being a military
wife is not an easy task, that it is not all butterflies and rainbows.
Hopefully other’s will have a better understanding of what our military men
sacrifice for us everyday after reading this story.
If you are reading this, I think you should know that
"About me" sounds so very pretentious to me. I guess that is what I
am supposed to write about, so here it goes!
Kathryn is a simple country girl who likes to spend time
with her hubba, hunka hubby, her three kids and her friends. She loves to cook
and really loves to eat! During the spring and summer, you will more than
likely find her outside puttering around in her garden. When the veggies start
coming in, she will probably be sweating over a hot canner in the kitchen,
canning all the goodies she is blessed with. Kathryn likes to hike and go
camping, and as a Girl Scout leader, she gets to do this pretty often! On cold
winter nights, you will probably find her wrapped in a warm blanket, lost in a
good book, while sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch!
Kathryn was born and raised in North Carolina, and while
she loves to travel, she can't imagine ever leaving the mountains that she has
come to call home. Not a day goes by that Kathryn doesn't thank God for
abundantly blessing her. He has been so good to her, and she is very grateful.
She holds Jeremiah 29:11 very close to her heart and believes it with every
fiber of her being. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares
the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future."
Kathryn loves flip flops, chocolate, sweet tea and dirt between
her toes. As far back as she can remember, she's had a book in her hand.
Reading has carried her to places she will never go. It has introduced her to
people that she will never meet. When life is great and when it is rough, she's
always been able to find a book to carry her through. She finally decided to
write down some of the stories in her head (yes, be scared) and heart after
dawdling around and wasting years dreaming. She hopes you enjoy reading those
stories as much as she loves writing them!
