Excerpt:
“Beg for me, Hope.”
The words were jumbled, echoing from deep within something
far from where she lay, but she wanted him back, closer, touching her, driving
her. She floated inside a bubble of fire
and ice, of day and night. Thought was
obsolete and meaningless, the only things necessary were pleasure…and
pain. She’d beg, now that she’d been
pushed to a point of abandon and carelessness, she’d beg for more, for it never
to end. Her strength was her weakness,
and now that he’d discovered it, he forced her body to betray her, to mock her
for how feeble her mind had become.
“Please.” Her plea
was muffled by her intoxication and she opened her eyes to see his wicked
grin. He didn’t look real. He wore his strength and command over her
like he would clothing, every inch of his skin sticky with masculinity and raw
power. Drops of sweat dripped down his
brow, sliding along his skin, breaking apart against the stubble of his jaw. She’d trembled when he’d raked his cheek
along the inside of her thigh and she wanted to feel it over her breasts as his
teeth bit into the tips.
“Please what?” He
laughed softly and his words vibrated through his chest, tickling her skin
where he touched her. Every few seconds
he would run his length between her thighs, tempting and teasing her –
promising to fill her so full, her own body would break apart around him and
her mind would shatter within her skull.
“Break me…please”

EXCERPT:
"My name is Maddy, by the way." She smiled
warmly. There was nothing but kindness in her eyes as she reached for a
box on the table.
"And this is where I'm supposed to be polite and tell
you mine?"
"Not if you don’t want to. Xander will find that
out. He's very resourceful. I'm only here to remove the lead from your body.
We'd hate for you to get an infection. Aaron is particular about that."
"He likes to keep his slaves healthy?” Hope laughed.
“That's new."
The woman's eyes flicked up from the supplies she was
gathering for a brief second. A blush fell across her cheeks from an
unspoken thought. Eventually, after seemingly gathering what she
required, she looked up again. "You’re not being kept as a slave.”
She stood from the table and crossed the distance,
antiseptic and a cloth held in her hands. "I'm going to clean you up
first, then we'll see what we can do about the bullet."
"Surgery will be difficult, don't you think?"
She shook the chains. "Given that I'm chained and all."
The woman angled her head when she asked, "Would you
like me to remove them?"
Suspicion tore through Hope's body at the suggestion. She wouldn't kill the woman if freed, but she
would silence her in order to escape. Playing on Maddy’s sympathies, she
responded, "Yes - please. I’m
afraid of what they will do to me, afraid that they’ll…" She let her eyes fall, desperate to appear
scared and nonthreatening. Looking up
again, she continued, “…I’m afraid they’ll hurt me or rape me. Please help me get free.”
Straightening her head on her shoulders, Maddy took a few
more steps, smiled and shrugged. "No problem. I'll ask Xander
for the key when I'm done cleaning you up." Another smile.
Hope’s shock turned to frustration. "He'll never
give them to you.”
"I know, but if you're going to make impossible
demands, I'll offer impossible responses."

Blog Tour, Excerpt, & Giveaway for Madeleine By M.S. Willis
Book Description:
She was meant to be his destruction…
A pawn played in a perilous game between
father and son…
Yet, her strength was more than either
man could imagine.
As Maddy learns to save herself…
She becomes the one thing that could
set the son free.
Madeleine Clark was raised to become a concert cellist. Sheltered and naïve, she remains hidden behind her music, a protection from the world around her. On the night of her first solo performance, Maddy accepts the admiration of a stranger and finds herself captive in a cruel and twisted power struggle between a sadistic father and his son, Aaron.
Seemingly, dangerous and uncaring, Aaron manages the business operations of his father’s estate. Wanting nothing to do with the slaves kept at the Estate, Aaron refuses to take part in the deeper depravities of his father. Despite his resistance, Aaron’s father ‘gifts’ him with a petite, brunette woman he can’t refuse.
A bond forged in conspiracy and deceit, Aaron struggles to save Maddy by teaching her to survive in the world in which he’d been raised. An unlikely union, Aaron soon learns that great strengths can exist within small packages, while Madeleine learns that love and light can exist in the darkest of places.

Excerpt:
Finding her voice, Maddy spoke out of
turn, not thinking about the repercussions her words could elicit. “I would prefer you call me by my name.” She peaked up at him through her lashes. “Maddy, I would prefer that you call me
Maddy.”
Aaron
stopped with his bare back turned to her, taking several minutes to finally
respond, he asked, “What makes you think you are allowed to ask that? If I wanted, I could call you slave…” He turned to face her, the contours of chest
perfectly shadowed, his strength unquestionable. “…or whore.”
His swagger was slow as he approached her, a hunter skilled in
pursuit. “Would you prefer those names
to ‘Mouse’?”
Sucking
her bottom lip between her teeth, Maddy fidgeted with her hands, refusing to
look Aaron in the eyes. She could feel
his gaze touching her skin, his perusal of the woman barely half his size. The heat of his body rolled off of him as he
circled her. It was the feeling of a
soft blanket and lustful threat wrapped around her at the same time. When the deep resonation of his voice
occurred again, she cringed, fearing he would strike out at her for the
incorrect answer. “Why do you dislike
the name I have given you?”
Continuing
to fidget, Maddy trained her eyes on her feet, not daring to look up into the
endless green she knew stared down at her.
Gripping her under her chin, Aaron pulled her face up to look at him,
his eyes searching hers for the answer to his question. “You will speak when I tell you.” Dropping his hand from her face, he took a
step back placing distance between them.
“Now answer me.”
Her heart
pounded against the walls of her chest, her throat constricted, making it
difficult for her to breath. Fear
consumed her as she stood in the shadow of the man who’d taken at least two
lives that day. Barely a whisper, her
voice squeaked out the answer to his question. “Because a mouse is a furry
little rodent, something detested.”
Aaron
stood thoughtful and silent above her.
When he didn’t respond, Maddy quietly added, “I guess it’s better than
Xander’s name for me.”
Laughter
bellowed out, causing the toned muscles of Aaron’s broad chest to flex and
relax before her eyes. The sound of his
amusement so real, it caused her to want to smile in response to seeing a piece
of his mask falling away, revealing parts of him not witnessed by many
people. Containing himself, Aaron’s eyes
sparkled as he asked, “And what, exactly, is Xander’s name for you?”
A scowl
creased the fine skin between her eyes, her mouth pulled into the pout of a
sulking child. “He calls me ‘cricket’…an
insect. It’s odd that you both refer to
me as nothing more than a common household pest.”
Aaron’s
smile faltered as he looked down upon the beautiful girl who didn’t fully
understand her role. “No, Madeleine, you
are not a common household pest…”
Maddy
looked up at him, anticipating what he would say next.
For a
fleeting second, he looked genuinely amused, but his expression was quickly
replaced with indifference and contempt as he stated, “you are lower than even
a pest in your role as a slave.”

Excerpt:
Fiddling with my fingers, I attempted to
avoid looking at him while he processed the information I’d provided. When he finally spoke again, I jumped
slightly. “It pisses me off knowing
Chris has been following you this whole time.
I don’t fucking understand how he got your tag number. I followed you out that night to make sure
you stayed safe!” His hand hit the
steering wheel with a loud thump. Taking a breath to calm himself, he sagged
back in his seat. “Regardless, you may
be right about his reason for fixating on you.
So, you need to keep that in mind at all times. No more fucking stunts on your own, okay?”
“I know, Daemon. I already promised that to you.”
Nodding his head, he turned the truck sharply
into his garage. After pulling into a
space, he turned the vehicle off, but didn’t move to open his door.
His eyes remained trained straight ahead as he
said, “Damsel, if Chris were to ever get ahold of you again, he’s not going to
play around with you anymore. You’ve
escaped him twice, humiliated him four times, if you count those escapes. It’s unlikely he’d wait long before killing
you.”
His head suddenly swung to look in my
direction. The desperate plea in his
eyes caused my breath to hiccup. “Paige,
I can’t lose you, not like that. If I
ever have to let you go, I want it to be when we are old and silver. I want a life behind us, memories behind us;
possibly kids…who knows? All I know is
that I would lose my mind if I lost you before then.”
My heart skipped, as my throat closed. Tears threatened my eyes and my nose became
stuffy. I never understood why a heavy
emotional reaction felt like an illness, but the symptoms were definitely the
same.
Having no words in response to his, I lunged
over. My hands buried themselves into
his hair as my mouth took possession of his.
My body prickled at the feel of his warm mouth upon mine and I greedily
sought more of him with my tongue. My
chest heaved with intense desire, a churning sea of hormones and…love. Needing to be closer, I climbed over to
straddle him. I pulled away from our
kiss to look deep in to his sparkling blue eyes. When our gaze locked, heat bloomed throughout
my body. My hands found the hem of my
shirt and I pulled up on the material, freeing it before tossing it to the
floor. Daemon’s hands instantly found my
breasts, squeezing to the point of pain.
Lightning shot through me from where he touched causing me to arch
further into his hold. A moan escaped my
lips as his mouth found my neck. This
man did things to my body that I never knew were possible. He made me feel dirty, but in a way that was
only meant for him. I lost all
inhibition around him, not caring about what I was saying or doing, as long as
it pleased him. When he touched me it
felt like my body melted to his, becoming one.
His scent and the feel of his hard body against mine was all that was
needed to completely sedate my mind, while at the same time awakening every
naughty part on my body.
My 5 Star Review :
AMAZING ENDING TO AN AMAZING STORY!!!!!
I have loved this series from the first book and Melissa has not disappointed with an amazing ending to an awesome series.
Conquer is Book #3 in the Control Series. If you have not read this series yet I strongly recommend it, you will not be disappointed.
We left off in Book #2 with Chris still on the loose. Paige has agreed to let Daemon train her so that she can protect herself if the need arises again. Paige needs to learn to trust other’s and she needs to break herself down from all her walls around her in order to be able to train properly. Daemon teaches her how to confront her fears as well.
We learn more about Paige and Daemon and their relationship, them getting closer to each other. Although I did not think it was possible for them to get any closer than they already were, they do get a lot closer. They learn the meaning of forgiveness and love.
We also learn more about Chris and his past and why he became the monster he has become.
This one will have you holding your breathe in a few places and hoping that things work out quick.
I loved each and every one of the characters in this series. I can not wait for Alex & Ava’s story as well as Annie and Logan’s story. I feel they all need their HEA as well.
My Favorite quotes from Conquer!!!!!
“I’ve told you before, I’ll wait for as long as you need, Paige. I don’t care what you call us now, Damsel, as long as one day you will call yourself my wife.”
“Say it, Damsel. Tell me how you feel. For once, stop hiding, stop running; just stop and face the very thing that scares you the most.”
“I will always, ALWAYS, find my way back. You never have to fear losing me, Paige, because no matter what, I will find you again….I promised you then, and I’m promising now. We will always be together. But, baby, you’ve got to keep up your end of this promise. If you keep fearing everything, if you keep letting panic rip you apart from me, we can never truly find our way back to those days. You have to let go, you have to let me in, and you have to trust that I will fight against any obstacle to make sure that I never lose you again.”
“I love you, Daemon. I’ve loved you almost my entire life and nothing scares me more than the way I feel about you. It’ll take time for me to trust that our worlds won’t come crashing down again, so please, don’t give up on me.”
“Those words are music to my ears. I’ll never give up on you, beautiful. I never have and I promise you….I never will.”
“I’m here with you, Damsel…always and forever.”
“Forever used to feel like a long time; but then this girl walked back into my life, one I’d dreamed of and carried with me from the moment I’d thought I lost her. Suddenly forever could never be long enough.”

Excerpt :
Once I was safely tucked away in his room,
Daemon closed and locked the door. His
crystal blue eyes seared into me before his gaze traveled lazily over my
body. I stood stock still attempting to
gain control over myself. The force of
his stare was mystifying and I had to intentionally look to the floor to
release myself from the seductive spell he was weaving around me. His feet moved in two long strides before his
hand clutched my chin and forced my eyes back to his.
“You can’t hide your eyes from me,
Paige. Not in here; and definitely not
when I can finally rip those clothes off of you and fuck you until you’re sated
and sloppy.” His words were spoken with
a sensual drawl and I instantly dampened in response. My thighs pressed themselves together as I
fought against my reaction to him. The
sexual tension was palpable and the air was charged with an electric spark that
popped against every inch of my skin. I
could feel logic and reasoning slipping away from my grasp and I stepped back a
step to distance myself and breathe.
Daemon oozed eroticism and carnal desire so thick that it wrapped around
me, overtaking every sense and function of my body. My breathing increased its pace as my heart
thundered against my chest. I took
another step back and noticed that with each step I took, Daemon took one
forward. He was stalking me, cornering
me with the intent to devour me in every way possible. I knew I only had a small window of time to
redirect his mood and hopefully get him talking.
My hands went up to halt Daemon’s
progress. “Um, maybe we could hold that
thought and…I don’t know…talk for a little while? We really haven’t had a
moment alone all day, well, except for this morning…”
The corners of his lips quirked when I
mentioned our morning encounter.
“…so, we should catch up.” That was lame,
but it was the only complete sentence I could formulate at that particular
moment.
His head angled and he continued stalking
forward while I backed myself further away.
Within no time, I’d backed myself into a wall and Daemon’s stare grew
impossibly more heated when he realized I was trapped. His chest pressed lightly against mine and
his head angled so that he could whisper suggestively in my ear.
“What would you like to talk about,
Damsel? I’m all ears.” His teeth nipped my earlobe and I shuddered,
pressing my palms into the wall for stability.
Hair prickled along the back of my neck as his warm breath rolled across
my skin.
My voice was breathy as I answered, “You.” I
paused a beat to adjust to the quickening of my heart. “I want to talk about
you.”
Daemon leaned away to look at my face. His one brow arched arrogantly and the
corners of his mouth turned up in amusement.
“I’m about to thoroughly and completely fuck you, and you are asking to
talk about me instead?” A humorless
laugh escaped him. The amusement left his face and his eyes locked with
mine. His voice was low and husky when
he said, “I’m sorry, Paige. But right
here, and right now, I have absolutely no interest in talking. In fact, I prefer that you listen to
everything I tell you to do.”

Dragonfly Necklace
Creator: Verita Bolin
I started making jewelry in the 80's. In
middle school I sold bracelets. In 2004 I started selling my jewels to the
public. I went to The William Holland School of Lapidary Arts to learn
stone identification, wire wrapping, and chain making. In 2009 I met Jason L
Lee, an artist and curator. He liked my jewelry and invited me to display
in Creative Spirit Art Gallery , at 1st Friday Art
Strolls and on Orange Ave.
I have a company with my mother, Tita. We set up all over Florida, have an Etsy
store, and Facebook page. People around the country own my jewelry.
