Blog Tour, Interview with Caisey & Giveaway for Last Second Chance By Caisey Quinn
Last Second Chance
Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 12, 2014
When Stella Jo Chandler gets an offer to work at the Second Chance Ranch
celebrity rehab facility right after graduating from Texas A&M, she’s
tempted to turn it down. She wants to help real people with real problems, not
spoiled celebrities going on vacation for publicity. But growing up on her
family’s ranch left her with a love of horses that draws her to the
opportunity. How bad can babysitting a bunch of strung out celebrities be?
What she didn’t count on was being roped into a tangled mess with
infamous rocker and three-time rehab drop out Van Ransom on her first day. And
she sure didn’t expect to feel the overwhelming attraction that pulls her to
the man who has more issues than she can count on both hands. Like the hotel
rooms and tour buses he’s famous for trashing, the havoc he could wreak on
Stella’s heart would be irreparable.
Van isn’t at Second Chance for publicity or because he’s suffering from
“exhaustion”. He’s on the brink of destruction, and he needs the kind of help
Stella isn’t sure she can give. But without her, he'll lose everything. Because
he’s on his last second chance.
How did the idea for
Van & Stella’s story come to you?
My husband and I were looking at places to vacation and we
came across this ranch in Texas (The Wild Catter) and it looked so secluded and
private that I thought it’d make a great rehabilitation facility for celebrity
types. I already knew that I’d write about one, but it was the model for the
Second Chance Ranch.
How many books are
planned for the Second Chance series?
Four definitely, possibly two additional ones. Each one is a
stand alone with different characters that somehow incorporates the ranch.
How is this series
different from your previous Kylie Ryans series?
It’s a lot grittier and sexier. In Kylie’s series, her
career was as much a character as she was, but in this series there’s more
focus on addiction and darker, more personal issues.
What was the hardest
part about putting out something new and different than what your readers were
used to?
The fear that everyone would hate it! Or that they’d think I
was just jumping on the erotica bandwagon. I always knew I would write
something darker and sexier, more adult than New Adult, after Kylie’s series,
but not all of my readers were expecting that leap. Fortunately they held my
hand the whole way! I am very blessed to have such loyal and precious readers!
What’s your favorite
part about being an indie author?
Having so much control over the cover, the formatting, the
price and the release dates.
Least favorite part?
Being responsible for making decisions about the cover, the
formatting, the price and the release dates. ;)
What’s one thing that
readers might find surprising about you?
I write my books out of order! I always thought I was doing
it wrong, writing scenes this way, until I met several other writers at
retreats that did the exact same thing.
What can we look
forward to from you?
There will be a surprise release this summer that’s a part
of the Keep Me Still world, and Falling for Fate this fall, which is the next book in the Second Chance series.
Fast Five
Coffee or Tea? Sweet Tea please!
Chocolate or Vanilla? Definitely
chocolate!
Billionaires or
Cowboys? Cowboys
PC or Mac? Mac,
but that’s a recent change.
Night Owl or Early
Bird? Definitely a night owl ;) It’s the only time I can get any work done!
Thank you so much for
having me!!
Caisey Quinn lives in
Birmingham, Alabama with her husband, daughter, and other assorted animals. She
is the bestselling author of the Kylie Ryans series as well as several New
Adult Romance novels featuring country girls finding love in unexpected places.

Born to a prestigious political family, Avery Adams plays as hard as he works. The gorgeous, charismatic attorney is used to getting what he wants, even the frequent one-night stands that earn him his well-deserved playboy reputation. When some of the most prominent men in politics suggest he run for senate, Avery decides the time has come to follow in his grandfather's footsteps. With a strategy in place and the campaign wheels rolling, Avery is ready to jump on the legislative fast track, full steam ahead. But no amount of planning prepares him for the handsome, uptight restaurateur who might derail his political future.
Easy isn't even in the top thousand words to describe Kane Dalton's life after his father, a devout southern Baptist minister, kicks him out of the family home for questioning his sexual orientation. Despite all the rotten tomatoes life throws his way, Kane makes something of himself. Between owning a thriving upscale Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Minneapolis and managing his long-term boyfriend, his plate is full. He struggles to get past the teachings of his childhood to fully accept his sexuality and rid himself of the doubts brought on by his religious upbringing. The last thing he needs is the yummy, sophisticated, blond-haired distraction sitting at table thirty-four.

My 5 Star Review:
This is the second book by Kindle that I have read and let me tell you I am in love with this author and her stories. She has a writing style that is truly awesome. I love how her stories flow together and she always seems to make me feel what I am reading.
Always is a VERY emotional read. Not in a bad way, but in a way that you will feel this story and you will feel like you are right there beside Avery and Kane. I knew within the first chapter that Kindle was going to test my emotions and I thought I prepared myself, but damn was I wrong. Kindle had me a blubbering mess while reading this wonderful story.
Avery and Kane have an amazing love story to tell and I will say that this is one that you need to experience without reading reviews, to get the full effect of this one. I immediately felt connected to these two men in the first chapters. You will to I believe.
Avery is a lawyer and an up and coming Senator, destined to follow in his grandfather's footsteps. The only problem is American is not ready for an Openly gay Politician and Avery has hesitations about running.
Kane is the owner of a very popular restaurant in town where Avery is headed to start his Senator Race. Kane comes from a very Christian family where is father is a pastor, But once he told his family about himself being gay he was estranged from them.
Once Avery walks into the restaurant and spots Kane for the first time, he realizes he will do whatever it takes to make Kane his.
This is a story of a forever kind of love. These two men show you the lengths they go to and the things they have to get through to be together, Although there is some hesitation in the beginning from Kane he learns over time that there is no way to turn your feelings off for the one you truly love.
Kindle knocked it out of the park with this story. I am going to be reading EVERYTHING else she has written to date and I will continue to read anything she writes in the future. She has definitely become an Author I will follow and stalk in the future.
Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.

Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Kindle
Alexander author of Always
Hi
Kindle, thank you for agreeing to this interview.
Thank
you for having us!
11. Can you tell us three fun facts about you? Go
as crazy as you’d like…
Kindle is a writing team, so I’m doing this jointly.
1) My writing partner is the only person I’ve ever had gay male sex with. As a woman, that says something.
2) I’ve never kissed a girl and liked it.
3) When my writing partner drinks too much, her clothes come off. She hates wearing clothing.
2. Can you tell us what a typical Kindle day is like?
I work. I own a flower and gift shop. Lots of insight to the gay psyche in that industry. One thing both my writing partner and I have in common, we both had older children leave the nest, and then decide they needed to move back home. You all don’t have to tell them this, but it’s not as much fun having them at home as it used to be. You miss them so bad, then they come home and you consider renting an apartment for them.
3. What inspired you to write your first book?
My WP and I have two role play characters. We actually started role playing through the Blackdagger Brotherhood book series. It seemed a natural step to move into writing professionally. We were too dumb to know we couldn’t do it.
4. Name two of your all-time favourite authors.
I hate this question. Don’t make me narrow this down so solidly. Dr. Suess and Dr. Spock.
5. Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
New huh? Well, Jake Wells definitely. And I like Riley Hart a lot. I like both of them personally as well as professionally.
6. Wine, Spirit, or Cocktail?
Yes please
7. Book you most want to see turned into a movie?
For me, I want the Walker Brother’s series turned into a movie. Let’s see what my writing partner says. You know, Sandrine’s books could be a movie and I’d love to see Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake series on the big screen.
8. Favourite day of the week?
Sunday! Flower shop is closed on Sunday Funday! It’s also cheat day!
9. Your perfect breakfast consists of –
Donuts!
10. If you had a super power, which one would it be?
I like the invisible man, but I also like those red laser beams frying people in their path. Thor carries that hammer, I might need that. Okay, my answer is to control weather and maybe time travel.
11. Tell us something dark about yourself.
The natural color of my hair.
12. Who is your all-time favorite book boyfriend?
For me, it’s Michael Taggert from Jude Deveraux, but Beau is making his case known from Ethan. It’s a toss-up really; I love Jean Claude from The Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series and Acheron from the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I’ve never been able to make decisions…I like a variety.
13. What is your most prized possession?
Pictures of my daughter.
14. What was the hardest part of writing your book?
You’ll see.
15. Do you have any advice for other writers?
If we can do it, anyone can do it…JUST DO IT!
16. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
THANK YOU for reading us and all the wonderful reviews – they mean everything to us. Also, come friend us on social media. I love hearing from everyone. I love the banter and wit of our friends. Come hang out over there.
Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to take part in this interview

Synopsis
Ashley’s life has been devastated once before, and she has spent the last two years rebuilding her life with her sexy CIA husband and her son.
It has been over two years since retired DEA Agent Ashley Cameron-Langston tangled with the Dixie Mafia and the Colombian Drug Cartel. Nightmares and vivid dreams have become less, until a special package arrives followed by information of a contract hit on her life.
CIA Agent, Anthony Langston will do anything to protect his beautiful, strong-willed wife and a precocious six year old son, he didn’t know he had until two years ago.
With time running out, there is only one thing to do: the hunted become the hunters.
The team is learning a lesson in justice they never got in the police academies… how to become the equivalent of mercenaries and enforce Eternal Justice. In an operation of this kind, death is imminent.
Excerpt
Ashley examined her partner and best friend’s face, saw the worry flickering in his steel gray eyes. And her panic deepened. “I am still in love with Tony and I never told him he has a son. I have so many regrets. But, all of that put aside; this operation just doesn’t feel right.” Ashley’s features grew pained, as if the admission caused her physical torture.
Chase silenced Ashley with a sympathetic look. “Stop.” He ordered. It is pointless flinging the past up at each other. You and Anthony just need to clear the air.” His voice suddenly sounded strained. “Seriously, Ashley, what do you want?”

Beck Book 3 – Corps Security Series
By Harper Sloan
Synopsis:
**Warning** This book is intended for a mature reading**
~DEE~
I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.
But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.
All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self-right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.
So I did the only thing I know how to do.
I run.
But he just won’t let me go.
~BECK~
The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see HER. She doesn’t want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.
To make her mine.
She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.
She’s it for me and she knows it.
She’s just too scared to admit it.
**NO cliffhanger, HEA, inter-connected standalones**

My 5 Star Review :
All I will say is read the whole book to understand all of Dee...
Harper has asked for spoiler free reviews. So with that said I am going to tell you how I felt about this story and give you a little background on the characters.
This is the story of Beck and Dee. I was scared going into this one only because of the fact that I was not a big fan Of Dee’s in the previous 2 books. The way she treated beck in those two books had me disliking her. Now I love Dee, I understand her, and I know why she was the way she was.
Dee comes from a family with money but also one that lacks love. She is Izzy’s Best friend. She has spunk, she is feisty. She will do anything for anyone if they need her help. What people see is only the outside of Dee. No one knows that inside she is broken. She has never told anyone what haunts her. She does not want any form of a relationship.
I am Denise Ann Roberts. Strong, proud and independent. A loyal friend, godmother and I radiate fucking happiness so that people will never see how lonely I really am.
Beck, Hot Alpha Man with a heart of gold. He can see right through Dee to her soul and he knows what is hiding inside of her. He will do everything in his power to help her and to make her his in the end.
"You've got nothing to be scared of with me. Not one damn thing… Fighting for you, and this relationship might drive me mad at times, but it's the fight I want if it ends with you in my arms… Please, Dee. Take a chance on us, and I swear to you, baby, you won't regret a day of it."
The story behind Dee and Beck is one of a lot of emotions. You truly get to see and understand why Dee is the way she is. You get to see Beck stand by her side and get even the little bit that he gets from her and remain right there beside her throughout it all.
“I can only hope that she’s become strong enough to realize that she has all the power in the world to become whole again and a man who’s willing to fight tooth and nail to help get her there.”
Beck knows that Dee needs to work through what is going on inside her. He does not push, he does not pull. He let’s her go at her own pace.
It’s like he really does see right inside me. It’s almost as if he can reach right in and pull out my secrets.
Dee she starts to work through what she is feeling inside. It is one tough road for her. No one understands what she is going through. She has kept it hidden from everyone. Even her Best friends have not noticed, Dee has kept it hidden that well.
Everyone around us looks at our fucked up relationship and does nothing but judge. They see only the outside, the window dressing. They don’t see this side of Dee... No, everyone sees perfect Dee, happy Dee, and the Dee that never stops smiling, even when she’s dying on the inside.
There is a lot of emotions in this book. Harper sure knows how to throw a blow you did not see coming right at you. You feel it all. I wanted to hunt Harper down and beat her lol, and I told her this. Then she redeemed herself a little with me. So her butt is safe for now.
“I want it all. Mind, body, soul, and heart. I promise you that when we finally get there, it’s going to be worth the wait. When you open yourself up to me completely… Baby, you won’t even believe how good it’s going to be.”
I cannot wait for the next book and to see where Harper Goes with it all. Definitely if you love hot alpha men then this series is one you need to check out now. Each book can be read as a standalone, but in my opinion read the series from the beginning to get a better understanding of all of the characters.
Interview with Harper:
Hi Harper, thank you for agreeing to this interview.
1. Which writers inspire you? To a degree all authors do… putting a piece of themselves out there. If I had to pick one it would be Kristen Ashley.

3. What is your favorite motivational phrase? If at first you don’t succeed, try try again
4. What is your favorite positive saying? Never give up
5. What is your favorite book and why? Motorcycle Man by Kristen Ashley. One word: TACK
6. What is your favorite quote? Karma is a bitch
7. What is your favorite movie and why? Dirty Dancing. I’ve been a sucker for that movie since I was like 5. LOL
8. What books have most influenced your life most? Under the Sweet Gum Tree hit me emotionally. The Edge of Never. Binding Arbitration. Usually it’s the really emotionally ones that really hit me.
9. Have you ever gone out in public with your shirt on backwards, or your slippers on, and when realizing it, just said screw it? Of course I have. Usually there is a bra missing in there too.
10. Do you prefer fuzzy or tub socks? Tub… usually stolen from my husband
11. Are you a person who makes their bed in the morning, or do you not see much point? Hell no I don’t. What’s the point… my ass will be right back soon!
12. Be honest, how often do you wash your hair? Hell… when I make myself stop working and shower!
13. Do you get road rage? What pisses you off the most about other drivers? I’m a screamer… in more ways than driving. HA! I hate idiots that ride my tail… or ones that go about 100 miles under the speed limit.
14. Do you go out of your way to kill bugs? Are there any that make you screech and hide? I will throw things from across the house if I see a spider. I don’t do bugs!
15. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers? I LOVE Y’ALL!!!
Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to take part in this interview
Harper lives in small
town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and
her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed 'Estrogen Ocean', much to
her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books;
you can almost ALWAYS find her with her ereader attached. As an ex-reviewer and
blogger, Harper's passion for reading runs deep. It wasn't until 'Axel' decided
to take up residence that she realized her true calling.
She started using
writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a
house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn't take long
before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their
story told.
