About Beautifully Done
Diagnosis: Borrowed time
Treatment: Trust
Prognosis: Beautifully Done
Asher Craig drives fast, flies high, and screws hard. But make no mistake, he’s a gentleman.
He learned way too young that we’re all on borrowed time. Fair or unfair, you only get one ride. He vows to live for the moment because it’s the only time he owns. The past is beyond his control and the future may not exist. With his only loyalties being his family, he thrives for that edge where plunging over is always in the realm of possibility.
When a beautiful familiar face tilts his axis, he re-examines everything and realizes that second chances are overrated and a lifetime of firsts are irreplaceable. In the end, it’s not her medical degree but his trust that needs to prove that the ride together is worth it ... until it’s Beautifully Done.
***Author's note***
Contains spoilers from Beautifully Awake. We highly recommend reading Chase and Lili's story first. For readers 18+

Pain
pierced my shin and I jerked back. “What the hell was that for?” I bitched at
the half pint spit-fire, sporting auburn highlights this week. Sierra changed
her hair color as often as her shoes. And my luck, tonight she was in some
pointy fucking boots.
“You have a freakin’ plane? For real? You never told me you
had a plane! Lil, did you know Green Giant had his own private plane. And he
flies it?”
“Hold up, Green Giant?” I questioned, trying to get a word
in edgewise. These two women spoke their own estrogen dialect. It could get out
of control, especially when Sierra went off on a tangent. And there it was,
with both hands in the air, her drink--which I assumed was a
margarita--splashed down the front of her light grey sweater dress. She didn’t
flinch. Sam, on the other hand, jumped to pat the excess liquid off her c cups.
Cant. Make. This. Shit. Up.
Chase buried his head in his wife’s shoulder to hide his
laughter, Lil bit her fingernail, and Dodd feigned a coughing fit.
In her oblivion, Sierra manually removed the red-headed
beauty’s hand from her chest. “I’m good, no really. Besides, it’s all padding,
babe. Breastfeeding sucks the life from the girls.” If Dodd shook his head one
more time he was in serious jeopardy of herniating a neck disc.
“What part don’t you get?” Sierra focused back on me.
“You’re eyes resemble those crazy contacts models wear and you’re a freaking
giant.” Her contorted facial expression screamed, ‘Duh.’
“We’re about the same height, sweetheart.” I thumbed toward
the two men standing on either side of me.
“Yeah, but he’s a quarterback.” She pointed to Chase. “He’s
a linebacker.” She air kissed Dodd. “And you’re the sick ass wide receiver. You
just look taller. Just cause.”
Since when
did she follow football? My cell started ringing and luckily I didn’t have to find out. “On that note, excuse
me.” I fished it out of my black suit pants and turned my back on the crew. It
was her. My balls did a happy dance. Fuck it, I was so screwed.
“Hey you.”
About the Authors
We’re East coast girls separated by Long Island Sound who
met in Physician Assistant School and have been besties ever since. We can
safely say that thirteen miles of water does not get in the way because we talk
or text, no exaggeration, at least 150 times a day. No, really, we do—about
everything and nothing. Shockingly, we never (we mean never) run out of things to say.
Umm, ever. We definitely laugh A LOT and we’re a tad sarcastic. And if
we’re being totally honest, one or two people might have, on occasion, used our
names and ‘dramatic’ in the same sentence. But it’s hard to trust the sources
since they married us.
It only took twelve years, two husbands, five kids, two
dogs, and a two-week vacation in Cape Cod later to decide the romance world
needed a splash of medicine. Write what
you know.
So you can easily find us at 4 o'clock on Bank Street
beach with a glass of cold Prosecco brainstorming. And guaranteed if we bump
into you, literally, it’s only because our iPhones are glued to our hands
(totally out of our control) either writing or editing our next novel (and yes,
it is possible to do from your iPhone, we mastered it … damn those straight
quotations).
When we are not working on our book or reading the latest
angsty romance on our kindles, you basically name it and we have it going on.
Soccer, lacrosse, golf, swimming, dance, gymnastics, football, chess, baseball,
basketball, skiing, ice skating, school, homework, and more school.
Oh yeah, did we forget to mention our careers in medicine?
Needless to say, we realized fast that something had to
go, so we opted for sleep. It’s completely overrated (yet so AMAZING) and
delirium makes everything funnier. Good thing we share a brain and can pretty
much complete each other’s sentences (definitely weird, we know).
So that’s our story, who we are … just add AUTHORS to the
list!

Gabe silently thanked God his houseguest escaped into
the shower as soon as she possibly could. The tour of the house had just
about done him in. Isabelle’s oohs and aahs had been genuine, as had her
love of his favorite room in the place. Unlike Naomi, who had taken one
look at his apartment and immediately begun calculating how she could move in
permanently, Isabelle, who he had invited, not only wanted to pay her way but
she planned to leave as soon as possible.
Not if he had his way.
Back at the police station, outside in the rain, it’d
been all he could do not to reach out and swipe his hands over her responsive
nipples, feel her tremble beneath his touch, and get rid of the ridiculous
distance between them. He might not know her well, but he’d always felt
they’d connected. The physical attraction was obvious. She was all
woman, supple curves, her breasts full and lush, and she possessed one hell of
an ass. His cock twitched with the desire he’d felt from the moment he’d
first seen her on Daltry’s arm.
But things ran deeper. They’d shared banter and
flirting during opportune moments when he’d caught her alone. He’d had
glimpses of the intelligent, witty woman she was when not with that pompous
ass. But not until today had he really seen beyond the exterior beauty to
the depth beneath. Those sexy blonde curls that bounced wildly around her
face were a proud testament to the fiercely independent woman she desperately
wanted to be.
The woman he intended to help her find.
It wouldn’t be easy. Isabelle needed
gentling. Understanding. Patience. Not his best traits, but
when it came to her, he’d already exercised plenty. He’d bided his time,
knowing Daltry would fuck up sooner or later. The balls that made him a
crack financial investor also imbued an arrogance that would be his
downfall. And it had been.
It was Gabe’s good fortune that Daltry’s screw-up had
landed Isabelle at his brother’s police station. Seeing her there had
given him insight he wouldn’t have had otherwise. In Isabelle, he saw an
intriguing combination of weary life experience and innocent ingenue. It
was the innocence the most primitive part of him wanted to conquer, to
possess. Since he'd begun running his father's empire at the age of
twenty-one, the same age he'd been drafted into surrogate parenthood to his
sister, he had always gotten what he wanted.
And Gabe wanted Isabelle.

Through the haze of sleep, I felt hands on me. Cold and rough. I
thought for a fleeting moment that it might have been Kyle.
Then, I remembered our break up.
It had happened weeks ago, but maybe that part was the dream. My
memory was fucked and I couldn’t latch onto a thought long enough to ride it
out of the fog.
“Did you make a decision?” Kyle asked.
I rolled over and pulled the comforter up to my
neck. I had decided that I didn’t want to make a decision—mostly that I didn’t
appreciate him trying to force me into a decision when I had told him time
after time that I didn’t want him moving into my apartment even after six
months together.
“You can barely afford the place anyway since
your sister moved out. I don’t get why it’s such a big deal unless you don’t
want to be together.”
I did, and yet, the threat of him leaving seemed
like a relief….
Hands groped and pulled—rough against my skin and digging into
muscle and bone. Too many hands. The bits of memory faded as I tried to retreat
from the onslaught. My back pressed into a hard surface beneath me, and my
nostrils filled with the smell of musk and damp stale air.
I had no idea where I was, or how I’d gotten there.
I kicked and gasped, trying to get back to the surface where
reality lurked. It shimmered in the distance, just out of reach, like the sun
on the surface of the water during a dive.
A hand latched onto my hair and held my head back. My eyelids were
finally freed from the sticky muck that held me in semi-consciousness, and I
opened them to find myself staring up into unfamiliar eyes.
I only held his gaze for a few seconds—if that—but it seemed like
it lasted for hours as my brain fought to categorize the details. Its useless
attempt to understand what was going on.
The man clutching my hair had vivid green eyes, but they may as
well have been black given the emotionless void they displayed. His hair was
shaggy, brown with a mix of grey, the same colors that stood out in his unkempt
stubble.
As if he needed any help looking rough.

“Does it put you at risk?”
She shuffled the coffee container around and scooped two teaspoons
into the mugs. “He says it does, but I haven’t seen any evidence of it.”
“I’m sure he knows what he’s talking about.”
“That’s what worries me. What if he’s right, Ben?” Her guilt
surged at the concerned expression on her brother’s face.
“I can only offer advice as a brother, and that would be to stay
the hell away from the guy if he puts you at risk. But –” He crossed his arms
over his chest. “—I’ve done stuff that was stupid in my time, too, and I know
that if you want something bad enough, nobody can advise you against it.”
“Am I suicidal for wanting to be involved in his life?”
Ben smiled. “No, Steph. You just care too much.”
“So why do I keep walking out on him?”
“Because you’re scared.”
Was she? Probably. “I guess.”
Ben sighed, and retrieved the milk from the fridge. “Do you
remember what you said to me the day you got your first tattoo?”
Steph shook her head. The day was a typical memory—vivid in parts,
but equally foggy in others.
“You said you didn’t want to live in fear anymore.”
She smiled. Ben was right; she had said exactly that.
“So what are you doing now?”
He held her stare, raised eyebrows and all as the reality sunk in.
She was letting fear get the upper hand yet again. All of this: Pete, Cass,
Ivan—she withdrew from all of them out of fear of what would come. “You’re so
right. I can’t believe I let myself slide back into that.”
“Sometimes it’s hardest to see the fault in ourselves, Sis.”

Title: Road Tripping
Author: Noelle Adams
Release date: July 7th, 2014
About Road Tripping
Ethan was Ashley’s secret crush, until he became an asshole.
Asshole is too good a word for him. It’s bad enough that he stopped talking to her brother, who was his best friend since preschool. It’s even worse that he went wild and got involved with criminal types. But the worst thing of all is the way he trapped her on this ridiculous road trip.
That’s what it is. Ridiculous. It just isn’t normal for a girl to get dragged from Virginia to South Dakota in a stolen car with just $1000 in cash. With Ethan Moore, who is way too hot and way too infuriating to be tolerated. But she’s stuck with him on a trip that is taking way longer than it should, sharing cheap hotel rooms, destroying cars, and eluding bad guys.
Yep. There are bad guys chasing them. Even worse guys than Ethan, and that’s saying a lot.
Plus, she’s having trouble keeping her hands off Ethan. In fact, she’s falling for him hard—when she isn’t wanting to wring his neck.
So, for two crazy weeks, her pride, her heart, and her life are all threatened. Ashley isn’t sure which she’ll lose first.

Their stolen car was low on gas, so they had to stop at a travel plaza off
the interstate in Beckley to fill up. Ashley went in with Ethan as he paid so
she could go to the bathroom, and they were walking out together when they saw
a police car parked not far from their car.
Two officers
were standing nearby, talking.
Ashley
jerked to a stop, her heart jumping into her throat.
“Don’t look
so guilty,” Ethan said, stopping beside her. “They’re probably not paying any
attention to us.”
“What if the
car was reported stolen?” Ashley crossed her arms tightly across her chest,
thinking about how all her hard work at being good over the last eighteen
months would be thrown out the window if Ethan got her arrested. “What if
they’re trying to act casual and are waiting to see who gets in the car?”
“I doubt
that. They look like they’re just killing time.” Ethan’s tone was laidback, but
he didn’t move forward to the car, so he must not be absolutely sure.
“We can’t
just stand here like this in the middle of the lot for no reason.” When she saw
one of the police officers glance their way, Ashley pretended to be
straightening Ethan’s shirt. “We’ll look suspicious, even if they’re not
waiting for us.”
“I know
that. Pretend we’re having a conversation, and it got so intense we had to
stop.”
Still
fidgeting with the buttons of his camp shirt, she couldn’t help but notice that
the t-shirt underneath was so thin it was almost threadbare.
“You really need to dump this stupid t-shirt.”
“You really need to dump this stupid t-shirt.”
“What are
you talking about?” His body stiffened, like he was offended.
Leave it to
Ethan to not care when she insulted him or swore at him but get all upset when
she threatened his favorite t-shirt. “You’ve had it since you were in high
school. It’s falling apart. I’m surprised it even still fits, since you were
skinny back then.”
He frowned.
“I wasn’t that skinny.” Despite his frown, there was an unexpected warmth in
his eyes that she used to see there a lot.
“Yes, you
were.” She couldn’t help but feel a sudden wave of fond memory at the thought
of Ethan in high school. He’d made her laugh and teased her and had once he’d
gotten into a fist-fight with a guy who had stood her up for the Christmas
dance.
Even Mark
hadn’t done that much for her.
“They’re
looking at us,” Ethan murmured, his eyes still soft with that something. “I’m
going to do something so we don’t look suspicious, so try not to get all upset
about it.”
She had no
idea what he was going to do. She was too distracted by the memories.
So she was
stunned when he raised a hand to the back of her head and then leaned down to
kiss her.
She’d never
kissed Ethan before, and she had no desire to kiss him now.
He was smug
and obnoxious and infuriating, and he’d brought nothing but trouble into her
life.
She didn’t
pull away, though. At first, she was so surprised she couldn’t. Then, when his
mouth started to move against hers and he eased her closer against him, she
didn’t really want to pull away.
It felt
good. Amazing. He was a really good kisser. He was Ethan. And she wanted to
kiss him back.
When she
realized that she was genuinely responding, she sucked in a breath and tried to
pull away.
“Don’t,”
Ethan murmured against her mouth, holding her head in place with his hand.
“They’re walking toward us.”
So she
couldn’t pull away like she wanted—since kissing him was a better option than
being arrested. But her heart was pounding painfully, and she fisted her hands
in his old t-shirt to channel her surging nerves.
“Not in the
middle of the parking lot, kids,” one of the policeman said as he passed. “At
least make it back to your car.”
They broke
apart, and Ashley heard herself giggling as the anxiety eased into relief.
“Sorry,
sir,” Ethan said, much more compliantly than he would ever respond under normal
circumstances.
So they
returned to the car, which the police obviously hadn’t flagged as being stolen.
Ashley,
feeling an intense wash of guilt and confusion, rubbed at her mouth with the
back of her hand. She shouldn’t have liked kissing him so much. Having feelings
like that would throw her whole life into a mess.
“Sorry,”
Ethan said, obviously noticing the gesture. “I wouldn’t have done it if it
hadn’t been an emergency.”
“I know. I
didn’t say anything, did I?”
He didn’t
reply, and Ashley was so embarrassed—thinking that he might have noticed she
was an enthusiastic participant in the fake kissing—that she pretended to take
a nap.
