Maybe Someday

Synopsis:

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance—and the enchanting music that inspires one young woman to put her life back together.

At twenty-two years old, aspiring musician Sydney Blake has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her good friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter cheating on her with Tori—and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor, Ridge Lawson. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the daily guitar playing he does out on his balcony. She can feel the harmony and vibrations in his music. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either: He seems to have finally found his muse. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…

From the author of the New York Times bestsellers Slammed, Point of Retreat, Hopeless, This Girl, and Losing Hope, Maybe Someday is destined to become another bestseller and long-lasting fan favorite.

My 10 +++++ Star Review

I'm sitting here trying like hell to form words for a review and I just can't even put the feelings I have for this book into a review right away... I am STILL reeling from the fact that I stopped at 12am at 49% and went to bed and after 40 mins of thinking about what was going to happen next I ended up getting back up and I stayed up until 3am this am reading finishing this book....

It has taken me literally all day to sit down and put my feelings about this book into a review. I started this book a little different than I have ever started any other book. I went and bought the Maybe Someday Soundtrack By Griffin Peterson and I put the entire playlist on repeat while I read this book. This is the first time I have EVER listened to a playlist while reading a book usually I listen to it after I have read the book. I decided while this book and the album where so blended together that it was time I tried it. I am so elated that I decided to do this. Listening to Griffin sing the songs from this storyline while I was reading was absolutely breathtaking and so truly AMAZING!!!!

Colleen has a writing style like nothing I have ever seen before, she pulls you in from the first page and she does it so well that you will block everything and everyone around you out of the your surroundings until you turn that last page.

“Words can sometimes have a far greater effect on a heart than a kiss.”

I will say this is a love triangle of sorts. What does that mean you ask? Well it means that yes we find out right off the bat that Ridge has a girlfriend, one he says is his one. One he plans to spend the rest of his life with until the day he dies. Then Ridge Met Sydney and something happened with the two of them that created a connection like Ridge had never felt before even with Maggie his girlfriend. Maggie, she is sweet, loving, and an amazing character all by herself. I will say this there is absolutely no cheating in this book. What takes place between these three characters is so unique, it is truly amazing. Sometimes your brain can tell you what your suppose to do and how your suppose to feel but sometimes your heart has a completely different prospective and your heart can make you see things differently. Sometimes you just can’t help who you fall in love with.

“Hey, heart. Are you listening? You and I are officially at war.”

I loved Sydney. She was amazing, understanding, loving, funny, sweet. After just coming from a relationship where she was betrayed by her boyfriend of two years and her best friend,. The last thing she wanted was a relationship of any kind. As Sydney and Ridge spend time together writing and creating songs the connection between them grows stronger and stronger. They both fight it tooth and nail. I saw an emotional struggle between these two like nothing I have ever seen before in a story.

“We try so hard to hide everything we're really feeling from those who probably need to know our true feelings the most.”

Ridge, there is no words great enough to describe this character. I truly think everyone should have a Ridge in their life as a friend, without a doubt. He truly was amazing. Watching the struggles he went through with his feelings and the need to do the right thing were truly amazing.

“I never realized how powerful desire could be. It consumes every part of you, enhancing your senses by a million. When you’re in the moment… all you can do is focus on the person in front of you.”

I struggled with how I felt about how things where going to end for everyone in this story. I wanted everyone to get their HEA and I wanted to see things get worked out between everyone involved. Colleen delivers and ending to such an emotional story like nothing I have ever read before. I was so happy with the ending of this story. I wanted more, I did not want it to end. There is no bad guy in this story, no one character was I against throughout the whole story. It is hard to explain, but once you read it I believe you will understand better what I mean and am trying to say.

“She's worth it all. She's worth more.”

“I want to be your end, but you gotta let it begin.”

I know my review is kind of all over the place and for that I am sorry,. Sometimes I struggle with putting my feelings down and this is one of those times. This book did something to me and I can’t still figure out exactly what that is. Maybe when I do I can re-vamp this a little bit, but until then I will leave you with this.

BUY this book when it becomes available. BUY Maybe Someday by Griffin Peterson and listen to the album while you read this book. You will not be disappointed one ounce if you do.
